- Due to contribution of Rupayaan on the issue of Right to Food, Director Rupayaan was appointed as State Advisor (for the State of Odisha) to the Commissioners of the Supreme Court of India (in the case CWP-196/2001) on 24 th December 2005. He continued to work as State Advisor till the closure of the case on 10 th February 2017 and made meaningful contribution on the issue of food and nutrition at the State and National level.
- Rupayaan received “Rojgar Jagrookta Puraskar” on 2 nd February 2009 from the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, for its contribution to create awareness in the State of Odisha on the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act - 2005.
- Since 10 th November 2009, Director Rupayaan has been nominated as one among the four members (civil society member representing Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India) Selection Committee for the selection of Ombudsman for the state of Uttarakhand. He has been instrumental in selecting district level Ombudsman as per the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act – 2015 in the State of Uttarakhand.
- During 2010 to 2012, for better implementation and independent monitoring of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005, Director, Rupayaan was appointed as one among the 100 Eminent Citizens across India, empanelled by Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and given the responsibility to monitor the MGNREGA in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal.
- Director Rupayaan was selected as a Member of the State Audit Advisory Board (SAAB) of Accountant General, Odisha during April 2012 and June 2014. During the tenure he highlighted and supported the audit of social security schemes that is affecting the life and living of the poorest of the poor in the State.
- Director Rupayaan was one of the members of the working group constituted by Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, Government of Odisha that drafted the Odisha Public Distribution System (Control) Order 2016 under National Food Security Act – 2013 to streamline distribution of essential commodities under TPDS.
- Director Rupayaan was selected as a member of the Programme Advisory Group (Odisha) to hand hold better implementation of MGNREGA in the State. The Programme Advisory Group was constituted on 21 st November 2013, by Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
